FINAL: 9–6 NYY

  • WP: Warren (4–3) 5.34

  • Will Warren’s Final Line:

Warren looked solid to start the game, but as the night went on, he struggled to find the plate, giving up three runs in the sixth inning.

  • The Yankees got off to a hot start offensively, scoring five runs in the first inning, three on a Jazz Chisholm three-run Home run (scoring Grisham on a Walk and Judge on a Double), and a two-run shot off the bat of Volpe (scoring Dominguez who reached on a single).
  • The Yankees bats stayed hot against Buehler in the second, scoring two more runs on a Jazz RBI single and a Volpe hit by pitch. Volpe and Jazz combined for seven of the nine runs batted in by the Yankees today.
  • Judge added on in the fifth with an RBI single, making it 8–1

  • Goldschmidt would hit a solo shot, giving the Yankees their
  • Headrick came back out for the seventh, and after striking out Rafiela, but gave up a two-run home run to Yankee Killer Rafael Devers.
  • Fernando Cruz, Jonathan Loáisiga and Devin Williams combined for two and a third scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one hit batsmen.
  • Williams looked super comfortable in the ninth inning today, the best I think he as looked in a save situation this season.
