- In the top of the first inning, Aaron Judge said “All Rise” for the 358th time in his career, tying Yogi Berra for fifth on the All-Time Yankees Home Run list, with a 429 foot solo blast to give the Yankees an early 1-0 lead. It marks the first time that Judge has homered in back-to-back games since returning from the IL, which is a good sign that a hot streak might be coming, just in time for a big stretch of games over the next two weeks.
- With two outs in the third inning, Judge and Bellinger would hit back-to-back doubles to give the Yankees a 2-1 lead.

- Luis Gil had a really solid outing today. His day ended on a sour note, allowing a game-tying home run and a walk. Overall, his outing was solid, but his velocity was down a bit. It was also good to see that he did not walk as many batters today.
- Fernando Cruz was the first out of the bullpen and faced four hitters and retired each one, staying in for the seventh after inducing an inning-ending double play to end the sixth inning in relief of Gil.
- Tim Hill came on to pitch the eighth inning, and after getting two quick outs, he gives up a go-ahead home run to Sosa in the eighth inning, to give the White Sox a 3-2 lead. This came after the Yankees loaded the bases with two outs and could not get a run across.
- Trent Grisham lead off the bottom of the ninth with a walk, but the Yankees could not get anything across after that.
