HOUSTON, TX — Seattle Mariners Ace Bryan Woo was removed from his start against the Astros on Friday with an apparent injury.

Woo had completed five innings of one-hit ball before attempting to warm up for the sixth inning and exiting the game with the trainer.

Woo has been spectacular this season, pitching 186.2 innings to the tune of a 2.94 ERA, a 0.93 WHIP and 198 strikeouts. Losing Woo ahead of a division and postseason push for the Mariners could be a potentially detrimental loss for the team, given the dominance Woo has brought this season.

Woo is in line for his 15th win of the season if the Mariners can hold on against the division-rival Astros in a season-swaying series in Space City.
